LEV Academy
Our religious school is the heart of Perrineville Jewish Center. A warm, inviting and exciting place to begin one's journey into living a Jewish life, finding enrichment in Judaism and being guided by Jewish values.
Our program bridges a centuries old tradition with a modern, engaging and interactive program that brings Judaism to life. From iPads and Chrome books to enhance lesson plans, to twinning programs with students in Israel; From Hebrew language to music that connects us to the spirit of Judaism and from speakers to hands-on enrichment, our students are actively engaged in ways that make learning fun and relevant as we seek to nurture the whole child - mind, body and soul.
Our experienced and dedicated team of teachers, lead by our Education Director and clergy bring vibrancy and excitement to each and every class. The involvement of our Rabbi and Education Director on a weekly basis ensures that all students and their families build relationships throughout the course of their journey and feel supported every step of the way.
Jewish Enrichment for the Modern World
We understand that students are tired after a full day of sitting in school, so we’ve designed our program to make it engaging, collaborative and interactive. An innovative curriculum is used to make kids fall in love with Judaism and want to continue to be an active part of it. Students are encouraged to question, discuss, debate and formulate their own opinions about how they see themselves as Jews in the modern world. We use Jewish Ed Tech to bring Judaism to life, create a bond with Israel, and teach a myriad of subjects from the traditional to the more modern. Our goal is to help each student feel proud and self confident in who they are as Jews and give them the tools to deal with a variety of situations they may face in years to come.
We welcome interfaith families, and children of all abilities. Supported by a caring, dedicated staff and community every child learns to shine and embrace their uniqueness.
