Prosepctive Families
Dear Prosepctive Families
Thank you for your interest in PJC's Religious School. Since 1910, PJC has been serving our community by holding Shabbat and holiday services, social events, community outreach and educating the next generation. L’dor vador, from generation to generation, is a precept which we proudly uphold. Our families vary in age and through multi-generational programming, we bring generations together to celebrate our Judaism, heritage and culture and pass it on to the next generation – our youth.
Our religious school is an incredible place for our youth to learn about who they are as Jews and partners in the community at large. We bring music into every classroom and use art and drama to reinforce concepts. Our Hebrew language program is taught by certified, experienced, Israeli teachers who teach in modern and fun ways and are passionate about what they do and their students’ success. Our music program is a key component to our curriculum. Combining fun Jewish and Israeli music with t’fillah ~ learning our prayers and blessings ~ our students love music and go home singing in the car (or even in the shower!). Our students love attending our program and are eager to show their families what they’ve learned.
There are plenty of family participatory programs that allow you to learn along-side your child. Our services are family friendly and explanatory. Each child has the opportunity to help lead our family service on the bima and each class hosts an Oneg or Kiddush where you can mix and mingle with our clergy and other families. We offer themed Shabbats, community-wide programming and an active social club with programs and events for all ages. There is something for everyone at PJC.
We have options to suit all families and are pleased to offer fair and flexible payment terms. In choosing to join our family you will receive:
- FREE LEV Academy enrollment (up to two children)
- 2 FREE High Holiday tickets for the General Service (additional tickets may be purchased for a small fee)
- FREE High Holiday Kiddush followed by Family Service
- Social Club for all ages
- Comprehensive Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation in the year leading up to Bar/Bat Mitzvah
- Individual Bar/Bat Mitzvah Service (no child shares a date)
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our historic synagogue and exceptional religious school program and we look forward to welcoming you to our family. If you have any questions , please contact us at 732.334.8774 or contact us at https://www.pjcmillstone.org/levacademy
